Financial Aid Exit Interview

COVID-19 Update: All in person exit sessions are suspended until further notice.

We will be reaching out soon to those students who have not yet had their 1-1 meetings with the Office of Student Financial Planning staff to provide borrower specific information.

Until more information is provided, please complete the following:

  1. Department of Education online exit counseling
  2. AAMC’s MedLoans® Organizer and Calculator (MLOC)
  3. Sign up for AAMC’s April 24th webinar on Income-Driven Repayment (IDR)

All graduating students who have received Federal and/or institutional loan(s) are required to complete an online and in-person financial aid exit prior to graduation.

Appointments begin Monday, Feb. 4 and will continue until graduation. Individual appointments are available during office hours M-F, 9 a.m.-12 p.m. To schedule your exit interview, please email the day and time that work best for you, as well as possible alternative days and times.

Prior to your scheduled interview date, you must complete the Department of Education’s online exit counseling. When identifying the school, please choose Washington University School of Medicine from the dropdown, or G24620. Feel free to bring your completed summary sheet with you to your exit appointment.

Exits are not required for students who have never received a Federal or institution loan at the School of Medicine. You may check your account history on WebSTAC under “Billing Records” then “Account Inquiry” to verify if a Federal or university loan disbursement was made over the years.

We also strongly encourage you to familiarize yourself with the financial aid information on the AAMC website in preparation for the individualized, one-on-one session. If you have any questions, please contact the Financial Aid Office.
