For Faculty & Administrators

Faculty and administrators who wish to participate in one or more Commencement ceremonies should complete the following by March 1, 2019:

  • Regalia order (if you do not have your own)
  • Intent to participate in either or both ceremonies; submit your intent even if you are not renting regalia

Send both requests through the university Commencement website.

Regalia pickups and returns

Medical Campus participants will pick up regalia at the School of Medicine bookstore.

For pickup and return dates, visit the university Commencement website. In addition to returning regalia to the bookstore, you may return caps and gowns in Room 260 of the America’s Center immediately following the MD ceremony.

Ceremony information

Faculty participating in the all-university ceremony at 8:30 a.m. will receive information from the Danforth Campus regarding assembly points and times.

To march in the MD ceremony at 3 p.m.arrive at the America’s Center by 2:15 p.m. to line up in Room 260. Volunteers will direct you to this room when you arrive.

You are also invited to attend a reception following the ceremony from 5-6 p.m.

Rented regalia may be returned following the ceremony to a bookstore representative in Room 260. You may also return regalia at the bookstore.

Pre-Commencement reception

On Thursday, May 16, a pre-graduation reception will be held from 5-7 p.m. in the Farrell Learning and Teaching Center (FLTC) Atrium to honor the graduates and their families.

You are encouraged to drop in and give students an opportunity to introduce their families to faculty members who have had such a significant influence on their personal and academic growth over the past four (or more!) years.
